Phasmophobia roadmap5/4/2023 ![]() ![]() Kinetic is expanding your equipment loadout in Phasmophobia, and that one’s probably not much of a surprise, but the game is also scheduled for a significant leveling system upgrade. The progression portion of the roadmap outlines a ton of overhauls and additions, too. While all of this sounds like asks the community has hoped for since day one, I never really considered flashlight changes-time to make everyone miserable in the dark. Players will have options for changing evidence requirements, ghost interaction rates, weather, hunt durations, and flashlight toggles from the overhauled main menu. Ghost-hunting (identifying?) adventures are also set to receive custom difficulty tweaks. It’s a lot of what we’ve seen in earlier overhauls that focus on improving how Phas plays, like the Exposition update, as Kinetic works to get some of that early access jank out of the game. The first major beat on the list is their plan for a VR rework, which includes a new interaction system, visuals, Unity update, and optimization changes. We’ve seen plenty of additions to Phasmophobia in 2021, and as we wrap up another year of haunts, Kinetic shared their roadmap for 2022. After adding more members to the studio earlier this year, Kinetic says they’re planning updates that improve the VR experience, add custom difficulty options, overhaul the leveling system, and bring more equipment to the ghost hunt. Phasmophobia is a little over a year old now, but Kinetic Games still has plenty in the pipeline for its second anniversary.
